Betting Terms & Glossary
For new players — simple explanations of common betting and casino terms
RTP (Return to Player)
The average rate at which a game returns winnings to players over the long term. For example, a 96% RTP means that on average, ৳96 is returned for every ৳100 wagered.
House Edge
The mathematical advantage a casino holds in every game is called the house edge. The lower the house edge, the better the player's chances of winning.
Wager
The total amount of money placed on a bet is called a wager. To withdraw a bonus, a specific wager amount must be completed.
Odds
A numerical way of expressing the probability of an event occurring. Higher odds mean the event is less likely to happen, but the reward is greater if it does.
Parlay / Accumulator
A single large bet formed by combining multiple bets together. If all bets win, the reward is much larger, but if one loses, the entire bet is lost.
Live Bet
A bet placed in real time while a match or game is in progress is called a live bet. It gives you the opportunity to bet based on how the situation unfolds.
Cashout
The option to withdraw a portion of your bet before the match ends is called cashout. It is used to reduce risk.
Bankroll
The total amount of money set aside for gaming. Good bankroll management makes it easier to keep playing over the long term.
Volatility
A measure of how frequently and how large the payouts are in a slot game. High volatility means larger payouts less often; low volatility means smaller payouts more often.
Free Spin
The opportunity to spin the reels in a slot game at no cost. Usually earned from scatter symbols or given as a bonus.
Wagering Requirement
The condition specifying how many times a bonus must be wagered before it can be withdrawn. Example: a 20x wagering requirement means you must place a total of ৳20,000 in bets to withdraw a ৳1,000 bonus.
Spread
A method of betting in sports betting based on the point or goal difference between two teams. The margin matters more than simply who wins or loses.
